Jack Reviews… PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

The game of my dreams is now a reality.

A golden-furred, feline-like creature, wearing a pilot’s suit, long gloves and boots, walks through a strange land. Strapped to his back is a small robot with round, bright green eyes. As the creature looks around at the mysterious, royal blue waves flowing through the air, interlocking with one another, he speaks to his companion.

“I’m starting to wonder if that signal we picked up was real or not…have you seen even one gold bolt?”, referring to the elusive currency that had brought them there.

The robot detaches itself from the creature’s back, turning around to hang onto his friend’s shoulder. He speaks in a low, eloquent tone.

“No,” he says, “but we have found…that.”

Top 10… PS3 Exclusives That You Are Required To Play

The PlayStation 3’s time as a cutting edge machine is nearing its end – if it hasn’t reached it already – and it can only be months now before it’s usurped by a completely new box of wonders. But that hasn’t deterred Sony from drawing in new customers, especially with the second revision of the hardware just hitting store shelves.

Take our own Marty, for instance. After spending this entire console generation on the Xbox 360, he’s now spreading his wings and enjoying the near six years worth of exclusive content he’s missed out on. I must admit I’m rather envious; hopping on the Sony wagon this late in the game must be like being a kid in a candy store.

But even an establishment as delightful as a candy store can house products best left untouched. In six years, the PS3 has accumulated some fluff that’s best swept away, leaving us with the truly unique, unmissable experiences that have stood the test of time and can only be played on Sony hardware.
