The day that Michael found Jesus.

Michael is a 19 year-old student, originally from Ireland, now living in Aberdeen and studying Computer Science at the Robert Gordon University.  Much to his surprise, he made it in to second year.

Michael is responsible for running The Beard Network website – having coded the theme that you see right now – and making sure everything looks good, according to Nic and Jack’s high standards.  He also edits The Beard Network Podcast, as well as producing the odd Let’s Play and article, once he gets over his dyslexia.  He is happy, generally insane and curses like a sailor most of the time.

Some time in the past, Michael attempted to start a blog but failed miserably, even after several reboots and a separate anime blog. Following this, he tried his hand at a podcast which, due to legal reasons, shall remain nameless. Michael then turned to YouTube and began releasing Let’s Plays, some of them featuring Nic. During a visit back to Ireland, Nic invited him to start a new endeavour – The Beard Network.

Michael is primarily a PC gamer, having spent most of his life in front a computer. The last console he owned was a GameCube but he still plays the console and handheld games of his childhood by means of emulation. He doesn’t really favour any type of game in particular but his favourite games include Minecraft, Civilization IV, Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and (though he hates to admit it) The Sims. He is a member of the RGU Electronic Gaming Society, where he befriended Marty and Nic.  He later met Jack and Dale while laying the foundations of The Beard Network.

When not playing games or asleep, Michael can be found in front of his computer watching anime and Netflix, browsing Reddit, and very occasionally doing univeristy work.  Michael also enjoying role-playing – in the non-sexual way – usually with Nic as a fellow party member.
