So, The Beard Network has personal blogs for us now. I’ll likely pop gaming news related things here, plus whatever’s grabbed my attention. Or it could just descend into anime talk/gifs. For my first post, I’ll explain what, after nearly six months, my PS3 is being used for.
I love my PS3, I truely do, the playstation store, whilst not being entirely intuitive, is a far better shopping experience than the 360. The dashboard is uncluttered and free from adverts, unlike the ridiculous amount that the 360 seems to have. Now I’m not going to start a console war as I love both dearly, but there is something I use my PS3 for than any other purpose. Classic Playstation games. PSN has some amazing classic PS1 games on it’s service for pennies. Tomba/Tombi, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ridge Racer Type 4, Syphon Filter and many more. All for an average of £4.
The recent sale on Final Fantasy games has shown what a gap in my Final Fantasy gaming there is, and with that I’ve bought 6, 7, 8 & 9, all for less than £16. I’ve played 8 before and count it as one of my favourite games, but I’ve never completed it. Yet with all the love 6, 7 & 9 get, I completely missed out on them when I was younger when I had a PS1.

She’s just sleeping, right?
So my plan is to finally rid my gaming shame of never playing more than just a handful of Final Fantasy games. Now if I could ask Square Enix why the hell Final Fantasy X/X-2 isn’t on PS2…
